Microsoft ofrece sin coste Hyper-V

Microsoft ha anunciado que es casi seguro que ofrezca su producto de virtualización para servidores sin coste,anteriormente se planteaba cobrar unos 30 $ aproximadamente.

Hyper-V Server 2008 se lanzará en breve y podrá ser descargado de forma gratuita a través de Internet.

Microsoft tiene previsto hacer una demostración de migración en caliente, que formará parte de la siguiente versión de Hyper-V.

Con las migraciones en caliente se podrá mover una máquina virtual en funcionamiento de un servidor a otro.

Microsoft intentó que Live Migration formara parte de la primera versión de Hyper-V, pero quedó fuera para cumplir con los plazos de lanzamiento.
